The Monks of Craft

Beyond worship, Mount Athos also holds craft: monks who work silver, enamel, wood and colour, continuing traditions of centuries in the workshop of each cell.

Vasilis Bitsis' camera enters the workshops and records the handwork — the way the labour of hands becomes both prayer and art. Rare objects, made with patience and devotion.
